Pipeline Facilities Field Operator

Target Start Date: ASAP                                            Contract Length: Permanent
Location: near Kerrobert, SK                                    Wage Range:  $30 – 40/hr depending on qualifications
Hours:  start 7 am; 12 hr/day:  7 on / 7off rotating days and nights

Truck:  provided once at site (some travel required)   Training/PPE:  provided except steel toed boots

Core Responsibilities

  • Performs day-to-day operations of the facility and ensures it is run in a safe and efficient manner

  • Maintain and troubleshoot all analytic equipment

  • Oversee the development of operations training for LAB equipment.

  • Follow the standardized company Quality Sampling plan meeting all deadlines

  • Organize the pipeline sampling/scheduling

  • Act as the field liaison for optimizing blend plans between the control room operations and facility manger

  • Perform testing in an onsite lab environment, blending oils, utilizing standard operating procedures

  • Perform mandatory QAQC calibrations coupled with cleaning and organization of the onsite lab and lab equipment

  • Manage all Quality data reporting to all necessary stakeholders

Qualifications

  •     High School diploma or equivalent or equivalent

  •     Oilfield mechanical experience

  •    Direct experience with ASTM crude oil quality determinations – an asset

  •    H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space Entry, WHIMS and TDG, Ground Disturbance, ICS

  •    Pipeline operations and procedures experience

  •    Prior Lab experience blending oils, spinning samples, sulfur testing – an asset

  •    Willingness to train and work under stringent lab protocols

  •    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills

  •    Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)

  •    Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders and build reports based off findings

  •    Team player contributing to team goals

  •     Valid, clean Class 5 Driver’s license

  •    Successful pre-employment drug & alcohol screening (paid for by company)
